We’re doing everything we can to send Perdue and Loeffler packing. Indivisibles,
Voting for the Georgia runoff elections on Jan. 5 is underway, and we’re doing everything we can to help Georgians elect Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff for the Senate. Most of you are aware of the stakes, but just to reiterate -- these two races will determine which party controls the Senate and who will have the power to define our national direction for the years to come.
Recent changes and reductions in polling locations during early voting are intentionally disenfranchising Black and Brown voters across the state. Despite this, Georgians are overwhelmingly turning out to the polls, potentially rivaling the massive turnout in November that turned the state blue. Casting a vote shouldn’t require people to wait in line for hours at a time, and that’s why we can’t stop now.
We need to keep focusing our time and energy on making calls and talking directly to voters, and Indivisibles can help by signing up for voter contact opportunities with our partner, Color of Change. Sign up for a Virtual Black Joy Call Party to make calls to Black voters in Georgia -- there are several dates and times available in the coming weeks.
Also, consider signing up for the ‘Allies for Black Joy’ events hosted by Color of Change. These events are spaces for folks to discuss what allyship looks like in this moment and how to make a plan to leverage your power and ensure a win in Georgia. Check out the next allies event coming up on December 28 at 8-9 pm EST here.
The two incumbents, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, routinely put Trump, the Republican party, and their own bank accounts ahead of the people of Georgia. Georgia Indivisible groups have been working hard to kick Trump’s cronies out of office, and now Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have a real chance of making that happen. With all eyes on Georgia in the next three weeks, we need you to utilize your time, energy, and expertise to support the critical work happening on the ground.
