The end of 2020 is finally in sight -- and, my, what a year it's been. 

Marked by immeasurable loss, this year has tested us all. It has completely upended any sense of "normalcy," and shone a light on some of the most glaring inequities in our society. 

While I'm glad to see 2020 go, I will carry lessons from this year with me for a very long time. Lessons like truly cherishing time spent in-person with friends and loved ones. Enjoying life's small pleasures, like a walk around the neighborhood with my son and dogs. And, being so grateful that I get to advocate for my community every single day -- especially in times like these. 



Your holiday celebrations likely look much different this year than in the past. Not seeing friends and family is a sacrifice -- particularly for folks who find themselves celebrating alone. However, by social distancing and practicing caution, we are helping preserve future holidays with our loved ones. We are also protecting our communities from the further spread of coronavirus. 

My hope is that by this time next year, we will each be surrounded by our loved ones, continuing the holiday traditions that we hold near and dear. For now, however, I wanted to take a moment to wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!
