Dear Friend, This holiday, it might mean looking a little deeper, but joy and hope for the season are present and powerful. David knows about the power of hope. He arrived “completely broken” in his words, to a local Volunteers of America facility after struggling with homelessness for years. David’s deep strength combined with our wrap-around services provided him stability and growth and as he put it, “brought back a light within me.“ David thrived and went on to become an employee at our shelter, helping others like him. “I see people, as lost as I was, and I will be there for them…It’s not about you, it’s about everyone else…We need community.” We are strongest as a community when we look out for each other. And this year calls for as much strength as we can muster, while Covid-19 continues to devastate families. Please be as generous as you can.
