Democrat,
With Christmas right around the corner, we at the NJDSC are making our lists and checking them twice, making sure we find out who in New Jersey politics has been naughty and who has been nice. It’s clear who New Jersey’s political grinches are — the top Republican leaders who STILL won’t admit that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the Presidential election. Even Mitch McConnell has done that!
Sure, it took almost two months from election day, but think about it -- if McConnell can admit that the election is over, if Attorney General (for now) Barr can publicly state there was no election fraud, why can’t the NJ GOP do the same? Here is our GOP Grinch gallery:
Jack Ciattarelli [[link removed]] Jack Ciattarelli
The Republican candidate for Governor once called Trump a “charlatan” who is “not fit to be President,” but now he’s changed his tune — Ciattarelli not only refuses to admit that Trump lost, he even spoke at a “Stop the Steal” conspiracy fest [[link removed]] where an attendee proudly displayed a Confederate flag. Make no mistake, Ciattarelli is fully on board the Trump train and driving the NJ GOP hard right.
Doug Steinhardt Doug Steinhardt [[link removed]]
Former State Republican Chairman and current gubernatorial candidate Doug Steinhardt is one of the state’s biggest and most dedicated Trumpers. He even hired Trump’s campaign manager, Christie alumni Bill Stepien [[link removed]] , to manage his race. He’s made his Trump allegiance clear, unequivocally announcing his support for Trump at every turn.
Jeff Van Drew [[link removed]] Jeff Van Drew
We all remember turncoat Jeff Van Drew pledging his “undying support” to President Trump, but he took it a step further. Van Drew signed on to an absurd legal brief trying to overturn the results of the Presidential election [[link removed]] , (he said he was representing South Carolina, but we can only wish that were true) which is both blatantly unconstitutional and so laughable that Trump’s own appointees on the Supreme Court wouldn’t take up the case.
Don’t let New Jersey Republicans steal our democracy like the Grinch stole Christmas — make a contribution today to help us fight back against Trumpism here in our state [[link removed]] .
