Hi John,

What you usually see from DxE is the finished product. Whether it’s a groundbreaking open rescue at one of the most secretive, high-security pig slaughterhouses in the nation or the negotiated release of turkeys before Thanksgiving, what we’re presenting is the final result.

What you don’t see is the work going on behind the scenes. You don’t see the hours of strategic meetings, the planning, the mistakes, the failed rehearsals. You don’t see the anguish our investigators endure when they find weeks-old calves, all of whom can’t be saved, chained outside in the freezing snow. You don’t see the armed guards beating and brutalizing our activists—off camera—as they’re locked to the slaughter line.

It’s all of these unseen moments, made up of unstoppable labor and sacrifice, that make DxE one of animal ag’s biggest threats. In my latest episode of The Green Pill podcast you’ll get an unfiltered look at all that goes on backstage at DxE and what it takes to lead a global grassroots network:

Although our work is a labor of love, it couldn’t be done without your support. Through the end of the year all donations up to $30,000 are being matched! Please help us reach our goal by donating here or on our website.

Thanks for always being there—for us and for the animals.

Wayne
