John, there are now only two weeks until the Georgia runoff elections.
Here's the good news: there's a really good chance that Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff could win both seats in the Senate. If we can pull off these wins, we can finally strip power away from Mitch McConnell and put an end to his reign as Majority Leader of the Senate.
But here's the bad news: right now — just 14 days away from these critical elections — polls are showing that Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue are increasingly gaining ground, right as hundreds of thousands of voters are making decisions and casting early ballots.
On top of surging in the polls, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler — who are two incredibly wealthy Senators — continue to rake in millions of dollars from folks like Mitch McConnell.
Mitch isn't throwing money Perdue and Loeffler's way because he thinks that they're the best choice for Georgians. Mitch McConnell is entirely motivated by fear, because he knows that his position as Majority Leader — and the power that he holds in Washington — is in serious jeopardy unless they both win.
If we can send Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the Senate, regain party control, and demote Mitch McConnell, we can make major progress on meaningful COVID relief (not $600 relief checks), health care, criminal justice reform, climate change, and much more.
This is going to be a tough runoff, John — Mitch McConnell and his Republican allies are throwing everything they can to make sure we won't have any chance to take back the Senate. Chip in now and split a contribution between our campaigns; let's make sure both Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff have the resources to reach as many voters as they can over the next two weeks.
14 days,
Team Bowman
