We are going to get through the coronavirus outbreak together. If you are experiencing symptoms or are looking for more information, you can visit the website of the CDC or the Illinois Department of Health. We are closely monitoring the situation and its effects on the people of Illinois and our nation as we work together to keep our families and communities safe.
John, COVID relief may finally be here — but for many workers and families here in Chicagoland, it’s too little, too late. The GOP left people in our community waiting for months while cases rose, businesses closed, and workers were forced to put their health and safety on the line. Chuy stood up for working families in Congress to make sure direct assistance was a key part of the coming relief. But for those who have been left behind — especially undocumented families — we still have a long way to go. We’re ready to work with Joe Biden to pass bills expanding access to health care and help families recover from this crisis, but we need your help. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: So while this round of COVID relief may be too little, it’s not too late for us to work for the resources our community needs — not just to recover from the pandemic, but to build a better future for all of us. Onwards, Team Chuy |
