Dear Partners,

We are thrilled to announce that Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY), Representative Katie Porter (D-CA-45), and Representative Lauren Underwood (IL-14) will join us as speakers at Families USA’s 26th annual and first-ever virtual Health Action Conference, Power. Impact. Now., January 26-28 ([link removed]) !
Register Now! ([link removed])
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has been serving in the Senate since 2009 and has spent that time fighting to ensure families have access to quality and affordable health care. She has continued to be a leader on health care during the pandemic, particularly advocating for policies that directly address the racial and socioeconomic health disparities the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted.

Since her election in 2018, Representative Katie Porter has been a tireless advocate for getting Americans the care they need. In addition to introducing legislation that would protect patients from unnecessary price hikes, she has confronted Big Pharma CEOs directly about the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs. She was proud to vote for the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act of 2019, which included her amendment to prohibit administrative actions that would strip patients of comprehensive care.

Representative Lauren Underwood has been serving in the House of Representatives since 2019, and has been a leader on health care issues – particularly focused on addressing racial and economic health inequities in our system. She was the leading sponsor of the Black Maternal Health Momnibus that addresses the maternal health crisis. Since the beginning of the pandemic, she has continued to lead on these issues and has focused on solutions that address the underlying causes of the health disparities, including through robust data collection and reporting requirements, investments in public health, and policies to promote access to affordable health care.

Don’t miss the chance to hear from these inspiring speakers, network with fellow advocates across the country, and build power to secure a better and more just health care system for all. Be sure to register before the special early bird rate ends on January 10 ([link removed]) .

To your health,

Raven Gomez,
Senior Associate for Strategic Partnerships
