Dear John,

Ruth Bader Ginsburg fought for justice with the understanding that both men and women benefit from a more equitable world—and that men are crucial partners in dismantling gender discrimination.

At Ipas, we apply this same broad lens to our work expanding access to abortion and contraception. Traditional gender roles often deny women the power to make their own reproductive health decisions. That’s why we help educate men on gender equity and their crucial role in ensuring women’s bodily autonomy.

In India, for example, young male leaders trained by Ipas provide much-needed information on contraception and pregnancy prevention to other young men in their communities. One such leader, Pankaj Kumar Pan (pictured above), says he’s seen people’s views change since he started doing this work. “Now it seems that participation of men is very important,” he says.

Help Ipas continue making deep social change—the kind that’s necessary for a truly equitable and just world like the one for which RBG fought. Will you join us today with a donation?
