I wanted to check in to see if you saw my good friend and colleague Councilor Belinda Ray’s email Friday:
“Contrary to the current occupant of the mayoral post, Spencer’s style of leadership is respectful of all voices, regardless of whether he shares their point of view. As mayor, Spencer will not create and ‘us’ and ‘them’ mentality with every issue that comes before the council. That strategy, frequently employed by our current mayor, does nothing but foment fear and rage while stifling dialogue.”
“Spencer will approach issues with a ‘we’ mindset that will move all of Portland forward together. And Spencer is the only candidate with the skills, knowledge, and relationships to put this new approach into action on day one.”
