Press Release: The Board applauds Biden's nomination of Katherine Tai and Neera Tanden to his administration!

However, President-elect Biden has yet to announce an AAPI Cabinet Secretary, and so we're urging him to continue building an executive office that reflects America's diversity, including AAPIs.

Georgia Senate Runoffs are TWO WEEKS AWAY.

ICYMI: On Dec. 15th, AAAFund co-hosted an AAPI fundraiser for the Georgia Senate candidates, which included Andrew Yang in the star-studded line-up! The event was a HUGE success, thanks to our own Bel Leong-Hong's efforts!

"We not only met but far exceeded our goal by over 40%. Some dedicated folks pulled the fundraiser together in less than a week and a half, and the campaign staff were blown away by the results. The entire AAAction Fund family was there in full force, and every chapter in our organization supported this very important effort!" said Ms. Leong-Hong, DNC AAPI Caucus Chair.

There's still time to make a difference!
AAAFund Georgia, our newest chapter, is doing great work thanks to co-founders Cam Ashling and Lani Wong. You can volunteer with them here and donate to their grassroots efforts here

Don't Miss Our Campaign Debrief Event!

Even though our efforts fell short with several of our endorsees, the broader AAPI community across the country made our voices heard. AAPIs overwhelmingly supported Joe Biden and are now touted as the margin of difference in several key battleground states.

As always, the AAPI community is no monolith. Democrats can't rely on these recent trends. We just know for sure now that we need to invest in and expand AAPI voter outreach, and the 2020 results can help tell us how.
So come break down the election results with us on January 9th, 2021

RSVP and details to come.

A few bright spots in a tough year:

  • Our endorsee, Marilyn Strickland of Tacoma, WA, will be the first Korean-American woman in Congress
  • We helped keep Andy Kim, our one other Democratic Korean American in Congress, against a wealthy, district-shopping opponent
  • Endorsee Kai Kahele, from South Kona, Hawai'i, will follow legendary Sen. Akaka as the second Native Hawaiian to serve in Congress
  • Other endorsee wins in close battleground districts include Katie Porter in CA-45, Haley Stevens in MI-11, and Susie Lee in NV-03.

We need your support to continue our work!

It's been a challenging year, and we acknowledge that millions of Americans are struggling and trying to make ends meet. That's why your generosity means so much to us, this year and every year.
Please consider making a gift to our organization this holiday season!
