Dear Friends,

With 2021 just around the corner, The Republican Party of New Mexico would like to thank all of you for your continued support and unwavering efforts in what’s been a remarkable 2020.

RPNM has made extraordinary and historic accomplishments during this past election year -- achievements and gains that have made the Republican Party a true force in New Mexico politics. These milestones came during unprecedented times that have universally challenged everyone. Thanks to our staff, supporters and volunteers, we have become a more vibrant, unified party and have voiced a stronger message throughout the state.

RPNM has received national recognition for its work, despite coming up short in our effort to win New Mexico for President Trump.

RPNM made history in 2020, and our accomplishments haven’t gone unnoticed: Republicans took back the 2^ndCongressional District seat; RPNM fundraising surpassed $6 million--$1.7 million from inside New Mexico; RPNM helped get more than 30,000 new Republicans onto our voter rolls; the party recruited a record 101 legislative candidates, including African Americans, Native Americans and Hispanics; RPNM created a Black Conservatives group to promote the party’s mission; RPNM made more than 3.1 million voter contacts this past election cycle and recruited hundreds of volunteers; RPNM developed election integrity program; the party has created a massive infrastructure and continues to grow.

2020 may be over, but RPNM continues to fight and work hard for even greater things in 2021.

RPNM is still in the game, defending the 2020 election. We are fighting hard, now hand counting votes in Bernalillo County to ensure there were no anomalies or issues that impacted votes. RPNM may also seek vote counting in other New Mexico counties. We also support the Trump Campaign that’s filed lawsuits in our state to seek information about drop boxes and voting machines. There are still many questions, and more information is being uncovered.

In this presidential election cycle, Republicans made a true stand. The GOP held its own in the legislature and we saw a massive turnout at the polls.

In 2016, 319,667 people voted for Donald Trump. In 2020 that number rose to 401,894—an increase of 26%. More than 501,000 Democrats turned out in 2020. Without the unprecedented effort by candidates, the party and an army of volunteers, that huge Democratic turnout could have cost us many seats in the legislature.

Strong recruitment, constant walkways and more people accepting our message and values have led to greater GOP numbers at the voting booth.

This sets the stage for tremendous gains in 2022 and beyond Republican momentum grows in New Mexico.

2021 will also be a big year. RPNM will work hard to replace Albuquerque’s mayor, recapture the 1^st Congressional District seat, ensure the GOP plays a role in redistricting and make sure that Roundhouse legislation champions fiscal responsibility and protects our rights and freedoms.

RPNM is recharged and ready to move fast into 2021. There’s plenty of work to be done, and we have the drive, confidence and perseverance to bring change and put New Mexico on better course for the future.

The message is clear: the New Mexico Republican Party is on the move.
