John, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read “Lacey’s” inspiring story.
Hi John,
Can you believe that Christmas is just a few days away? While the celebrations may look a little different this year, I pray that you will still have a wonderful holiday with your family!
One of the many things I love about Christmas is the opportunity to practice incredible generosity and acts of kindness. Every year, there are countless stories of people who band together and show the love of Christ to those who need it most. It’s one of the reasons that this is truly the most wonderful time of year!
But did you know that you show that same love of Christ to families throughout the entire year with your prayers and support?
Through your partnership, you provide help and hope to moms who reach out to Human Coalition with urgent needs every day. You connect them to compassionate care – empowering them to choose life for their children. And you strengthen families with life-changing resources that set them up for long-term stability. You are the reason they are able to THRIVE!
One example of a mom who you’ve shown the love of Christ to is “Lacey.”
When Lacey found out she was pregnant, she was unemployed, without a car, and had no house. She didn’t want an abortion, but she didn’t think she had any other choice. So, she started looking for abortion information online. But instead, she found the information for one of Human Coalition’s Telecare Women’s Clinics.
Lacey dialed the number to the telecare clinic and was immediately connected to a nurse to begin counseling and care. The nurse talked to her about the services offered through the Continuum of Care program. And she assured Lacey that the staff would be there through every step of her journey.
As our nurse patiently walked Lacey through all of the resources available to her, Lacey’s outlook began to change. She started to see how she could bring her child into the world. And her mind started to ease knowing that a team, a coalition of support, was behind her ready to help.
In the days and weeks that followed, the Continuum of Care team helped connect Lacey to everything she needed to get back on her feet. They also helped her get her resume updated, and she was soon able to secure a job.
Today, Lacey is eagerly waiting for the arrival of her baby girl! She is still in touch with the nurse she initially talked to and the Continuum of Care staff. She recently told them, “I just really appreciate you texting, checking up, and just being there emotionally for me.”
The telecare services Lacey received have been even more important during the COVID-19 pandemic. This innovation has given moms the life-affirming care they so desperately need without the delay or stress of traveling to an in-person clinic.
However, the rise in telecare has also led to the rise in remote abortions and the abortion pill, pushed by Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. And it’s made it easier than ever for them to prey on moms in desperate situations.
And that’s why the National Rescue System MUST continue to expand its lifesaving reach!
Thankfully, the $750,000 Challenge Grant that was given by a generous donor to inspire more generosity is still active.
Our goal is to raise an amount equal to the Challenge Grant by the end of the year. And that means that any gifts received by December 31 will help DOUBLE the lifesaving impact, when combined with the grant.
That’s TWICE the number of moms reached with the help and hope they long for. TWICE the number of innocent preborn children rescued from the horror of abortion. And TWICE the number of families restored to stability.
