Dear John,

2020 has been a challenging year for many of us.

But the holidays are a time to celebrate, and even in the midst of
this unusually difficult time, there is much to be thankful for.

Because of you, Children's Hospital Los Angeles has been able to
continue providing lifesaving research and care for kids this year.

Because of you, there are families connected to CHLA-patients,
nurses, doctors and team members--that will be able to spend these
holidays connected to the ones they love. And while we may not be able
to spend this joyous season together in person, we are still able to
celebrate together in spirit.

Your gifts, signed cards and other shows of support matter so much to
our entire hospital--patients, patient families and
team members--and for that we are grateful.

The bonds we build with the most important people in our lives cannot
be broken by physical distancing. They are only made stronger.

I'd like to share the art of one of our patients, and as we move into
the final days of this year, I ask you to take a deep breath, find the
comfort and warmth inside you that comes from the support of our
families and loved ones, and experience a moment of peace.

A moment of peace

On behalf of the children and families we serve, know that we are all
so grateful for your generosity and support.

Sincerely,

Alexandra Carter, MBA, CFRE
Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer
Children's Hospital Los Angeles

P.S. During this season of giving and generosity, will you consider
supporting CHLA with a tax-deductible, year-end donation? Your gift to
the Children's Fund will be matched dollar for dollar until Dec. 31.
