Dataset now available: NCVS Police-Public Contact Survey, 2018

The Bureau of Justice Statistics has released a dataset on law enforcement statistics through the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD). These files include characteristics of persons who had some type of contact with police during the year.

Dataset now available: Survey of Prison Inmates, 2016

The Bureau of Justice Statistics has released a dataset on prisoner statistics through the NACJD. This survey collects data on demographic characteristics, current offense and sentence, incident characteristics, firearm possession and sources, criminal history, socioeconomic characteristics, family background, drug and alcohol use and treatment, mental and physical health and treatment, and facility programs and rule violations.
