We are now just two weeks away from an election that could determine the future of our country as we know it. In the state of Georgia, there are two seats up for grabs that will determine who has control of the US Senate.
Polls now show a 49%-49% tie in both races. If we are defeated, Democrats will hold 50 Senate seats, and Kamala Harris would be have the chance to break the tie. The Democrats will then be able to defund the police, expand the Senate by granting statehood to Washington, D.C., and pack our Supreme Court with leftist Judges.
While this election takes place in Georgia, we know full well that if the Democrats win there will be disastrous consequences felt from coast to coast. That is why we at the OCGOP are doing everything in our power to support Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. Earlier this week, our newly elected members of Congress Michelle Steel and Young Kim helped to rally support behind Senator Purdue. San Juan Capistrano Mayor Brian Maryott's highly trained volunteers have been doing on the ground work in Georgia to help get out the Republican vote. Also, numerous OCGOP volunteers have flown out to Georgia to personally help with the campaign.
