I’m about to ask you to chip in $5 or more to my final FEC fundraising deadline of the year -- but first, let’s talk about the stakes of defending this battleground seat in 2022.

126 House Republicans -- nearly two-thirds of the House GOP caucus -- signed on to back the Texas lawsuit to overturn the results of a legitimate presidential election.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court ruled against them and upheld the will of the people -- but attempts to destroy our democracy are not excusable just because they failed.

This is not about a few bad apples. The mainstream of the GOP is choosing to deny basic truth to the detriment of our entire democracy and the American people -- and every elected official choosing to be silent in this moment is complicit in their treachery.

Republicans are projected to take back the House in 2022 -- which means the fight for our democracy will be won in battleground districts like this one. But I know that we have the numbers -- will you be one of the 350 supporters I need to chip in to my FEC year-end fundraising goal to send a message that the grassroots movement to defend this seat is stronger than ever?
