2020 has been a year unlike any other in our lifetime.

Too many families have faced unimaginable hardship wreaked by COVID-19 this year. Nevertheless, we fought hard to change this country while doing our best to keep each other safe.

As this year comes to a close, we want to say thank you. With your help, we changed the narrative about young voters in one of the most consequential elections of our nation’s history — resulting in the highest youth turnout in any presidential election.

This year, we made history because of organizers, volunteers, and activists like you.

By electing progressive candidates across the country, Democrats have flipped the White House, held the House, and control of the Senate is still within our reach thanks to Georgia.

Our organizers, volunteers, and activists:

• Organized initially across 11 battleground states and expanded to six additional states and 227 college campuses
• Registered more than 122,000 voters and got 441,000 pledges to vote
• Made over 9.5 million calls, sent over 27.5 million texts and 6.5 million pieces of direct mail to young voters
• Recruited over 22,000 total volunteers to help get out the vote
• Partnered with over 1,700 influencers to reach a combined following of 81.2 million people
• Reached over 6.3 million young people via digital advertisements

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have already shown their willingness to listen to the progressive young people who helped elect them — and next year we plan on holding them accountable and working to ensure they make good on their promises. 

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue to help young Georgians cast their ballots so we can retake the Senate and have a Democratic majority ready to get to work on the most important issues facing us.
