Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger recently penned an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal with the headline “Trump Runs the Stacey Abrams Playbook.”
Yes, it’s about as bad as you’d expect. As he writes: “After four years of relentless attacks on the integrity of elections by the most significant mainstream media outlets and pundits, it should come as no surprise that Americans have trouble believing the results of even the most secure elections.”
It’s a blatant lie -- and it’s just further evidence of how scared the GOP is of Stacey Abrams.
And it’s no wonder why: Abrams has made sure that Georgia will be a competitive state for YEARS to come. Since her historic run for governor in 2018 -- she lost by just 1.4% -- Abrams has spearheaded the effort to protect the vote and to re-enfranchise tens of thousands of voters, many of them voters of color who had been excluded from the electoral process by Republican leadership in Georgia.
But we know Donald Trump -- in line with his many attempts to steal Biden’s victory -- will try anything to ensure his base in Georgia will doubt the legitimacy of the election and turn out in droves for the Senate runoffs on January 5 in retribution.
There’s so much work to be done to ensure that Stacey Abrams’ incredible work builds even more momentum. We need to know EXACTLY the number of supporters who will be joining us, so please, tell us now:
