"Ulrich Klopfer, like all abortionists, are only paid to produce one product: a dead human being. You can call a serial abortionist like Ulrich Klopfer many things, but 'doctor' is not one of them." —Steven Aden, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel at Americans United for Life

Constitution Day, Politics, and the Supreme Court
(National Review) Clearly, Roe needs to go. But there is apparently at least a three-Justice bloc – Chief Justice John Roberts, Samuel Alito, and Brett Kavanaugh – that believes that “special justification,” more than mere constitutional error, is required to overturn precedent.

The Abortion Mysticism of Pete Buttigieg
(The New York Times) But the more maximalist and mystical your claims about when personhood begins (or doesn’t), the more strained that distinction gets. The unapologetic grisliness of a Klopfer, or a Kermit Gosnell before him, haunts a Buttigiegian abortion politics more than it does a “safe, legal, rare” triangulation, because it establishes the most visceral of contrasts — between the mysticism required to believe that the right to life begins at birth and the cold and obvious reality that what our laws call a nonperson can still become a corpse.

Constitution Day, the Supreme Court, and Roe's political nature
(Americans United for Life) Each September 17th we mark Constitution Day—a day of honor and observance for America's greatest achievement in self-governance and the basis for our national democratic republic. Tom Shakely hosts an Americans United for Life conversation with Steve Aden, Rachel Morrison, and Clarke Forsythe to reflect on Constitution Day, the Supreme Court's role in preserving the Constitution, and the political nature of Roe v. Wade as it intersects with both the text of the Constitution and the Supreme Court's role in American life.

LISTEN TO 'LIFE, LIBERTY, AND LAW'

2,246 Fetal Remains Found At Abortionist’s Home Should Be The Catalyst To End Abortion
(The Federalist) The ultimate justice for these 2,246 would be for their little lives to serve as a catalyst to end abortion. These 2,246 lives speak to an abortion industry that cares nothing for human dignity and nothing for the women it alleges to help. These lives show that we can, and must, do better in recognizing the value in every human life.

Abortionist Ulrich Klopfer and the Illinois scandal of 2,246 hoarded human remains
(Americans United for Life) An America where abortion is lawful—where the intentional targeting and killing of human life is lawful—has created opportunities for abortionists like Kermit Gosnell and Ulrich Klopfer to realize their own warped sociopathy. In the wake of disgraced abortionist Ulrich Klopfer's death, and the news that Klopfer preserved the human remains of at least 2,246 human beings in the basement of his suburban Crete, Illinois home, it's time to put this news in context. Tom Shakely hosts this special episode of "Life, Liberty, and Law," alongside Steve Aden, Clarke Forsythe, and Noah Brandt of Americans United for Life.

America’s Abortion Rate Has Dropped to Its Lowest Ever
(The New York Times) Clarke Forsythe, senior counsel for Americans United for Life, an anti-abortion organization, called the research “a patchwork put together to serve an agenda, and I don’t give any of it any credence whatsoever.” He said that he believed the institute’s agenda was “abortion is good, abortion should be legal and state laws that try to limit or regulate abortion are ineffective.” “I’m sure that there are many factors that have contributed to the decline,” Mr. Forsythe added. “Some state laws do contribute to a reduction in abortion.”
