Last week, Sandra Lindsey, an ICU nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, received the first COVID-19 vaccine administered here on Long Island. This wouldn’t have been possible without Operation Warp Speed and the medical professionals and researchers who worked on developing, studying, approving and producing the vaccine.

But before heading into the holidays, I wanted to take a moment and send a thank you note to all the healthcare workers and other front line workers who helped get us through this pandemic before there was a vaccine. And John, I think they would be excited to see your name on the card!
