Hi John,
Next year our activists need to be able to take on the planet's worst polluters -- and win. But, behind the scenes, there's a lot of things we need to add to our toolkit.
Legal experts. Climbing gear. Kit for our ships. These are all crucial parts of our work. And they're all paid for by people like you.
That's why I need your help, John. Because as Greenpeace's Actions Director, I know first-hand how much work goes into planning big, ambitious campaigns - and how much it costs.
So forgive me for asking, but can you help us reach our goal of finding 1,032 new monthly donors before the year is out? With over 700 people signed up this month, we're more than halfway there. But can you help get us over the line?

Placing yourself in the way of those who would destroy our natural world takes bravery. But every time I see Greenpeace's volunteers out in action, I know they're not doing it alone -- thanks to the generosity of people like you.
I know that thousands of people chipped in to fund the boats we use to occupy oil rigs. And that small donations added up to pay for the banners and props we use to deliver our message.
In case you're asking yourself, 'does chipping in a few quid really help?', then think of it like this: Every act, or small contribution, might just be a small ripple. But together those ripples add up to make a tidal wave. A wave that's strong enough to challenge the powerful, and to stop environmental destroyers in their tracks.
But we can only do it with your support, John. So can you chip in a few pounds per month to fund Greenpeace's people-powered campaigns in 2021?

In 1971, the year Greenpeace was founded, a handful of volunteers set sail to prevent nuclear weapons testing. Back then, taking direct action was at the heart of how we won.
With our natural world facing threats like never before, peaceful protest remains just as crucial today. That's why, as I send this, Greenpeace's team is drawing up plans to make 2021 a historic year in the fight to save our climate, protect our oceans, and safeguard our forests.
If you're able to right now, I hope you'll consider a monthly contribution to fund this work. If we can reach our goal of finding 1,032 people to chip in a few pounds a month, it'll mean we can build bigger - and bolder - campaigns than ever before.
With all my thanks,
Rachel Murray
Actions Director, Greenpeace UK
