I’m writing to you with optimism, John—and a game plan for the year ahead.
Ceres is seizing every possible opportunity to make 2021 the year we close in on a net-zero world. We can do it because our thought leadership carries weight, we aren’t afraid to innovate, and we know how to work in partnership toward a collective goal.
Here are two cases in point:
-
We put forward 10 key steps that the Biden administration must take immediately to drive forward climate action, among them, rejoining the Paris Agreement, protecting disadvantaged communities from environmental harm, spurring the electric vehicle revolution, and more. And the Biden transition team is taking notice!
-
The Federal Reserve affirmed climate change as a financial risk and subsequently joined the global network of Central Banks and Supervisors for Greening the Financial System. The Ceres Accelerator for Sustainable Capital Markets helped drive these huge steps in the U.S. recognizing the financial risks and opportunities posed by the climate crisis.
John, this progress represents our shared impact. But all that we can continue to achieve in 2021 depends on you.
Please: Commit to Ceres and a more just and sustainable world. |

P.S. John, The UN just honored Mindy Lubber, Ceres CEO and President, as a Champion of the Earth, its highest environmental honor. This award may have Ceres’ name on it, but it also belongs to you, for transforming our mission into climate action. Invest in these scalable, sustainable results … our shared future … now. |
