This year has been difficult in so many ways. But as 2020 draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to remind you of some of our victories from this year. I hope you know that none of this would have been possible without the generous support of allies like you.

Here are just a few incredible milestones we were able to celebrate together in the fight to protect reproductive rights around the world:

• In our case, June Medical Services v. Russo, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a blatantly unconstitutional Louisiana law that would have devastated abortion care in the state.
  
  
• This spring, lawmakers in eight states attempted to exploit the global health crisis to push their anti-abortion agenda. With the support of people like you, the Center and our partners were able to file a flurry of emergency lawsuits that successfully protected access to abortion care in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  
  
• The Slovak parliament once again rejected pending legislation that would have introduced new, regressive restrictions on access to abortion care. We mobilized more than 100 civil society organizations from across the world to call on lawmakers to reject this legislation that would have subjected patients to a series of harmful and medically unnecessary requirements prior to receiving care.
  
  
• Outside the courtroom, we and our partners at CARE International in Uganda have launched a new pilot program to protect the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls in one of the country’s largest refugee settlements. This program is only the latest in our efforts to advance reproductive rights globally, and follows our work in other refugee communities, including in Nigeria.

Even with all these incredible victories, we are still up against some of the most extreme laws and policies aimed to restrict abortion access in the U.S. and around the world. With so much work ahead of us, I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to have your gift go SIX times as far in protecting and defending reproductive rights—everywhere, for everyone—by making your gift by December 31.
