Thousands of kids won’t be home for Christmas this year. They will be confined in a cell, terrified of contracting COVID-19. So far over 2,600 children in juvenile facilities have been infected.

With your support we are doing something about it.

From the beginning of the pandemic, we identified and documented the crisis in youth detention facilities across the country.

But more than that, we have developed solutions and public officials are paying attention. Fewer children are being incarcerated and hundreds are being returned safely to their families. More detention facilities are testing and providing treatment.

Tragically, the pandemic rages and the health of incarcerated youth remains in jeopardy. With your support we will get more kids home to their families.

I hope you will consider a donation to The Sentencing Project—and urge your friends and family to join us as well.

Thank you for your support,

Amy
