From the beginning of the pandemic, we identified and documented the crisis in youth detention facilities across the country. But more than that, we have developed solutions and public officials are paying attention. Fewer children are being incarcerated and hundreds are being returned safely to their families. More detention facilities are testing and providing treatment. Tragically, the pandemic rages and the health of incarcerated youth remains in jeopardy.
