Friend -- The 2021 redistricting process will be the first-ever with a nationwide grassroots movement to hold map manipulators accountable.

But the truth is, our movement is fighting a battle that elected officials in Washington should have prevented a long time ago. Thankfully, 2021 is a chance to finally fix what's broken. In January, Congress could finally pass comprehensive legislation on fair redistricting and voting rights -- Georgia's runoff election will determine if that's possible.

That's why I'm asking you to make a donation to our Democracy Reform Fund. Every dollar we raise will be split between All On The Line and the Democratic Party of Georgia -- your contribution will help GOTV efforts in Georgia and advocacy efforts once the 117th Congress is in session.

To be frank: we shouldn't need a grassroots movement to achieve fair maps. There should already be comprehensive laws on the books to prevent partisan politicians from exploiting redistricting for their own political gain.

If pro-democracy Senators -- who support redistricting reforms like the For the People Act (H.R. 1) and voting rights protections like the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (VRAA) -- hold a majority in the next Congress, we may not need to play defense to protect our democracy anymore.

We saw so many examples of poor governance in 2020, particularly in regards to our elections. Democracy reforms like H.R. 1 and the VRAA can bring integrity to our political system.

It's one reason we're so invested in the runoff races. Georgia has become ground zero for voter suppression in the past few years. As my friend Reverend Warnock has said, "voting rights are on the ballot." We might not all be able to cast votes in this runoff election -- but we can help make sure organizers and supporters on the ground in Georgia have the resources they need to get out the vote.
