Team,
The Safe Drinking Water Act passed 46 years ago to protect public health and prevent pollution by regulating our drinking water supply.
But communities across the country continue to struggle with PFAS, harmful chemicals that contaminate our water supplies. Right here in New Hampshire, communities like Merrimack have found PFAS contamination in public and private water wells. Meanwhile the Trump administration has rolled back critical environmental protections that keep us healthy and safe.
Earlier this year Chris led a bipartisan group calling on House leaders to take action on PFAS by strengthening the Clean Water Act and restoring protections. While the House passed the PFAS Action Act at the beginning of this year, it hasn't gotten past Mitch McConnell's desk.
Will you add your name to demand Congress take action to protect our drinking water?
Despite the devastating impact of contaminated water, the Trump Administration has continued to roll back critical protections that keep our water safe which has put people's health at risk. Clean water is our most critical resource, and this deregulation will have consequences for years to come.
Access to clean water is a human right and should not be determined by your zip code or economic status. That's why Chris is prioritizing protections for clean water in the House. Show Chris you're with him in this fight by adding your name to tell Congress to protect our drinking water.
Thank you,
Team Pappas
