As Congress debates the next round of COVID relief, Democrats have been demanding survival checks worth at least $1,200.
But Republicans are now trying to cut those checks from $1,200 all the way down to $600.
For so many people, the difference between $1,200 and $600 is massive. Cori has been unhoused. She has lived paycheck-to-paycheck. She knows that $600 is the difference between having a motel room or sleeping in your car.
John, we can't let them get away with this. We need to fight for real relief for ordinary people, not corporations.
