YouTube has begun "removing any videos that falsely claim widespread voting fraud changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential race now that the deadline for states to resolve disputes over the results has passed," POLITICO reports.

But we can't celebrate this win quite yet -- the move has received significant conservative pushback that could jeopardize its implementation.

"Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), an outspoken Google critic and a top Trump ally on social media issues, lambasted YouTube's decision as an affront on free speech," according to POLITICO. Hawley also "seized on the shift to renew calls to revoke Section 230, the 1996 law that shields online companies from lawsuits over the content they host and how they police it."
