Happy holidays to all.

Dear John,

While we celebrate the holiday season
this year, many of us can't help but notice that many of our
celebrations look a little different as we adjust to the COVID-19
pandemic. But whatever your holiday season looks like, I hope it's
filled with joy and hope.

And on behalf of myself, the entire
Alzheimer's Association community, the more than 5 million people
living with Alzheimer's disease in the United States and their 16
million caregivers - we wish you a happy holiday season and a
hope-filled New Year.

While this time of year can be the
happiest, it can also be painful for those who are missing their loved
ones. The holidays, especially this year, can be stressful for some
members of our community - coordinating family plans while
caring for someone with Alzheimer's; family members unexpectedly
recognizing signs of dementia; and dealing with the challenges of
living with Alzheimer's during this whirlwind season. All of these and
more make up the varied and unique reasons this is one of the busiest
times of the year for our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900).

But please know we're here for you. If
you need support, information or guidance, don't hesitate to call to
speak with one of our master's-level clinicians who staff our Helpline
every hour of every day. You and your generosity make it possible for
us to be here - and I'm truly grateful.

Best wishes and happy holidays.

Sincerely,

Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
