I wanted to reach out with a quick update on the stalled Senate negotiations over the bipartisan COVID relief package.

Senate Republicans just concluded a Caucus Conference Call with Treasury Secretary Mnuchin and the news is not good:

McConnell announced that Republicans WILL NOT remove their last minute demand to include a provision restricting the Federal Reserve's future ability to provide loans to shore up struggling businesses in an economic emergency.

As Americans are waiting for relief and the clock is ticking on a government shutdown, McConnell is holding the process hostage on an unrelated provision over the Federal Reserve's powers. If this passed it would potentially knee-cap the Biden administration's ability to jump-start the economy in a crisis.

This is Washington at its worst. And it's unconscionable.

Add your name to our petition demanding Republicans drop this outrageous proposal and pass the bipartisan COVID stimulus package immediately >>

Thank you for adding your voice to this fight. We're so close and struggling families are counting on this much-needed relief.

Chris
