When Larry first ran in 2018, he promised a criminal justice revolution.

Larry was the first candidate we supported at Real Justice PAC. We knew that if we succeeded, his victory would be a gamechanger in our movement to transform our justice system district by district.

Since then, Larry has exceeded expectations. He’s brought sweeping reforms to Philadelphia like ending cash bail, stopping death sentences, and reducing rates of mass incarceration. He’s also inspired a wave of reform champions across the country to run for office and re-examine the way we view safety and criminal justice.

But we aren’t the only ones who’ve noticed the revolution that Larry has helped ignite. Larry has become a top target of attacks from Donald Trump, police unions, anti-reform groups, GOP leaders, and everyone else invested in protecting our broken justice system.

We know that Larry’s re-election race won’t be easy and we expected a so-called “tough-on-crime” candidate to challenge his seat and try to bring back racist systems of mass-incarceration that don’t actually reduce crime. We’re determined to fight through this — but it’s going to take all of us working together to keep Larry in office.
