When I wrote yesterday that our campaign was facing a very real budget challenge, I didn't know exactly what to expect after being radically transparent. But I said from the start that I'd always be upfront with you about where we stand -- because this campaign wouldn't exist without people like you.

Since I told you we needed to raise $1.7 million by the end of the month if I'm to stay in this race, we've received 12,088 contributions to get us $$440,907 closer to that target. I'm humbled and so grateful for each and every person stepping up when we need it most.

I'm about to call it a night, but before I do, I wanted to give you that update -- and ask directly: Will you chip in $5 right now to help finish this weekend strong?

This weekend in Iowa, I saw up close that our campaign is on the cusp of a breakthrough. I'm so proud of what our team there has already accomplished, pulling in more endorsements than any other campaign and building out an organizing infrastructure that rivals that of the national frontrunners in this race. And while I know that we have the resources needed to stay in the race for a long time, I'm not running simply to be a candidate for president. I'm running to win.

And if we are going to head into the fall with a real shot to be the nominee, reaching this fundraising target is a must.
