Arena Academy is a five-day intensive training that teaches participants all the skills they need to land a dream job on a progressive campaign. The training is designed for both those new to politics and those with campaign experience looking to level up their skills.
At Arena Academy, attendees interact and work with participants from other specializations, just like on a real campaign, and seasoned experts teach participants how to win elections and hone their craft.
Arena Academy is unique in being multi-disciplinary and experiential learning-based. Applicants can select from one of seven tracks, including Campaign Management, Communications, Data, Digital, Finance, Organizing, or Organizing Director. The Academy culminates with Arena Cup, a hands-on competition in which attendees join a team and design a campaign plan for a real district.
After the Academy, graduates gain access to Arena career services, including one-on-one coaching and job placement support. To date, we’ve placed past graduates in 483 jobs with progressive campaigns and organizations.
Between now and 2022, three-quarters of states will elect governors, the entire U.S. Congress is up for re-election, and there are countless other local elections. Over the last month and a half, our democracy underwent an unprecedented stress test. Down-ballot elected officials -- secretaries of state, state legislatures, and governors -- are who held our democracy together. Arena Academy plays a critical role in training staff to work on these campaigns to ensure we elect people with integrity and progressive values.
