John - when I look back at these past few years, I'm proud of the work we did to put our country first before our political party loyalty. Together, we made a real difference, and I can't thank you enough for being a part of this team.
When some leaders worked to divide us, we were there calling for unity and purpose. When they threatened our nation's vital institutions, we were there to fight for them. And when they've threatened our democracy, we were there to stand in their way.
I remain a Republican but I also acknowledge that perhaps, like you, I didn't leave the Party; the Party left me. Despite all this, it remains my hope that perhaps with new leaders the GOP can step away from the ledge and once again offer a positive, compassionate vision for the future of America.
It's time for the Republican Party to again become a party of ideas. What is our plan on healthcare? On the environment? On racial divisions? On the national debt and many other critical issues? Ideas create the energy that drives positive change, and we seem to have lost sight of that.
As we look ahead to 2021 and a new chapter in America, I will be there calling it like I see it and doing everything I can to inspire positive change. As I've long said, it's up to each of us to make a positive difference where we live - to lift others when we can and heal our nation together.
But I'll need your ongoing support to carry this message and ensure we're able to make an impact. You may have donated to our cause before or maybe not at all, but I'm asking you to consider making a donation to this effort before our end-of-the-year deadline so we have the funds to continue this fight in 2021.
Any amount you're able to give will make a difference and I couldn't be any more thankful for your support. There are brighter days ahead for America and I'm excited to see how we can continue this journey together.
Wishing you and your family the happiest of holiday celebrations and a joyful New Year!
