Friend --

People over profit! North Carolina saw over 15,000 Covid cases directly linked to evictions this summer. That’s 304 preventable deaths if landlords abided by the CDC eviction Moratorium and allowed people to #StayAtHome.

Now, landlords and Apartment Associations are trying to kill the Eviction Protection in the next relief package. We need you to join us and Call Senator Burr (202-224-3154) and Senator Tillis (202-224-6342) to tell them to extend the eviction Moratorium until January 31! Over 500,000 households are at risk of eviction during the winter, leading to so many more unnecessary deaths.

Here is a sample call script: Hi this is [your name] and I am a resident of [city/county]. I am calling to demand you extend the CDC eviction Moratorium until January 31. Thousands of lives are on the line and we need a home to stay at home! [Feel free to add a personal story]

In solidarity,
