Over 700 Proud Boys, the same group Trump instructed to “stand back and stand by” just a few months ago, charged downtown Washington, D.C to apparently defend ‘Trump’s ‘honor’ and contest the legitimate election results.
Some of these white nationalists were armed. Multiple people were injured. They filled the streets of the capital with chilling chants. They ripped and burned Black Lives Matter signs and vandalized two historic Black churches.
That is the America that Trump represents -- and the one far-right groups, and millions of Americans, are now fighting to defend.
We’re alarmed by the violence Trump has incited and the hate crimes the Proud Boys have committed in this wannabe tyrant's name. The Proud Boys have been allowed to rise with almost no condemnation from Trump’s administration. The White House has refused to denounce the group, but today we need to know where Americans like you, those who will determine where our country goes from here, stand. Please, tell us now:
