As a nonprofit newsroom, ProPublica gets much of our funding through donations from readers. <[link removed]> So far this year, over 35,000 people have made a gift in support of our relentless journalists and the amazing work that they do to uncover abuses of power and breaches of the public trust.

Every day, ProPublica’s writers, editors, and data crunchers put these donation dollars to work by investigating corrupt politicians, greedy corporations, miscarriages of justice and more. We have the largest investigative reporting team in the entire country — and it’s almost all powered through donations.

As President Trump’s time left in office dwindles, his administration is passing “midnight regulations:” policy changes that are being rushed through to implementation before Trump leaves office. ProPublica’s data reporters developed a tracker so that readers can follow the most consequential and controversial changes (currently 62 of them), like radically narrowing the grounds for asylum eligibility, and reversing an Obama-era decision that requires polluters to fund cleanup efforts.
