Hi there,
Congresswoman and ASPIRE chair Grace Meng recently reflected on the movement we’ve created to elevate the voices of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) throughout the country.
In her
opinion piece for The Hill, Rep. Meng makes one thing clear: Asian American voters must be valued, respected, and included in our country’s decision-making, and we’re here to ensure that happens.
This year, we were able to mobilize voters like never before, increasing AAPI turnout by over 20 percent from 2016 to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the first Black and AAPI woman to serve as vice president.
We connected AAPI members of Congress with AAPI voters in critical states. We motivated millions to engage with our political system and repudiate a presidency fueled by hate, racism, and xenophobia.
All of this was only possible because of you and your unwavering support throughout this election cycle -- so thank you.
