I have GREAT news and I have less than great news. Which do you want first? I’ll start with the really good news:

Once again this team has rallied at a moment’s notice to support and fight for our communities, right when it’s needed the most. Because of folks chipping in whatever they could — $10, $25, $50 at a time — we’ve already raised $60,000 for the DACA Application Fund to help cover the $495 per person application fee for undocumented people and immigrants to apply for DACA protections!

Here’s the rub: every day more and more folks are signing up for a spot on the DACA Application Fund waitlist, and now it looks like our original goal of $100,000 raised before the end of the year just won’t be enough to cover everyone who needs help. Today, we’ve had to stop taking applications as we have supported all individuals we had funds for — a total of 370 in December alone!
