I can tell you that running for office is hard, especially if you're a person of color, if you're experiencing poverty, or if you're one of the millions of people in our country who are systematically denied opportunities to thrive. It takes a lot of time and work to just file the paperwork to set up your campaign, let alone to get all of the resources and talent you need to compete.

There are just huge barriers to entry into politics, which is why I'm so glad Justice Democrats exists to help candidates like me launch our campaigns.

Justice Democrats was there for me when I ran. And I want to make sure they can be there for more progressive, everyday candidates like me when they run. So today, I'm giving back to the folks who helped get me here.
