With less than 45 days to go until Election Day, I wanted to share the state of the race and our plan to win.
This is long but I hope you take a minute to read it. If you just have a second, the bottom line is: the strongest ground game in Kentucky's history, huge endorsements, and a consistent and solid lead in the polls have Andy Beshear in the driver's seat with less than 45 days to go until Election Day.

The latest sign of energy behind the Beshear/Coleman campaign came last week when new fundraising numbers showed Andy outraised the sitting governor. This hardly ever happens. And just a day after fundraising reports were public, Beshear scored another big win with the endorsement of the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police.
Growing Ground Game vs. Campaigning With Government Resources:
Since the start of July, the Beshear-led coordinated campaign has knocked on more than 400,000 doors and opened up more than a dozen field offices throughout Kentucky.
Andy Beshear has made it a top priority to show up, listen, and meet Kentucky voters where they are. Since Fancy Farm, Andy has held nearly 100 campaign events across Kentucky, visiting counties like: Daviess, Jefferson, Hardin, Nelson, Meade, Laurel, Casey, Adair, Kenton, Boone, Boyd, Floyd, Jessamine, Clark, Bullitt, Fayette, Anderson, Pike, Perry, McCracken, Marshall, Hopkins, Franklin, Caldwell, Webster, Woodford, Mercer, Henderson, Warren, Carter, Powell, Trigg, Breathitt, Bourbon, and Madison.
In contrast, Matt Bevin has heavily relied on taxpayer-funded resources to carry his failing campaign. The governor holds partisan political events at the governor's mansion and has been under fire for refusing to fully disclose why he is taking a state plane across the country, even going so far as to say that "it's none of their business." when asked about coming clean to Kentuckians about where he is taking the taxpayer-funded plane.
Race Boils Down to Kitchen Table Issues:
While Andy Beshear and Jacqueline Coleman have been unveiling their "Kitchen Table Agenda" to create good-paying jobs for working families, the race has quickly boiled down to two major issues: health care and public education. Chip in $5 right now to make sure we have the resources to highlight these two issues as much as possible.

On both major challenges, Andy Beshear has a clear record of standing with working families, while Matt Bevin supports harmful policies that would hurt Kentucky families.
- Health Care: Right now, health care is the only issue that is currently featured in paid television advertising from BOTH Democrats and Republicans. Matt Bevin still favors repealing the Affordable Care Act, which would devastate Medicaid expansion for hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians and remove vital protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
- Public Education: Andy Beshear and Jacqueline Coleman have Matt Bevin on the run when it comes to public education. They rolled out their "Stop the Bullying, Raise the Pay" plan to give every teacher a $2,000 raise. It's not surprising that the Associated Press recently said, "Public education grabbed the spotlight in Kentucky's race for governor."
Overall, Andy Beshear and Jacqueline Coleman are running on a positive vision to lift up Kentucky families, unveiling comprehensive policy priorities related to expanding access to affordable health care, jobs and health care for veterans, ethics, creating good-paying agritech and advanced manufacturing jobs, fixing our failing infrastructure, marketing Kentucky as a top-notch tourism destination, respecting workers, raising pay for teachers, equal pay, voting rights, and expanded gaming.
To date, Matt Bevin has not released a single policy plan this entire campaign.
Democratic Unity and "Republicans For Beshear" vs. Bevin's GOP Civil War:
Governor Bevin is locked in a nasty feud he started with his own lieutenant governor, who recently "vowed" to continue battling him in court. Bevin also insulted the roughly 40% of Republican primary voters who supported Robert Goforth in the May 21st primary when he said in August that his opponent's name is a "name so easily forgotten."
This GOP infighting driven by Matt Bevin is clearly a major problem for his campaign.
On the other hand, Beshear has picked up key endorsements, including from a sitting Republican state senator and the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police.
Thank you for taking the time to read this memo. Under Andy's leadership, we are running a substantive campaign based on voter engagement that lays out a real vision for Kentucky's future. We appreciate you being a part of this and we're going to need all of your help in the final stretch.
Campaigns aren't cheap and Matt Bevin can tap into his personal fortune at any time. Pitch in today so we can continue to execute our plan.

Together we're going to beat Matt Bevin.
