As we approach the end of a tumultuous year, my colleagues and I at Vote Forward have been reflecting a bit on what we've accomplished together in 2020.
After sending more than a million letters in 2018 — which felt at the time like an astonishing number — volunteers like you sent a goal-shattering 17.5 million letters in October 2020 alone, contributing to record-breaking voter turnout in a critically important election. Together, you wrote:
- A letter to every single voter who met our targeting criteria in 20 critical states.
- Letters to 2.3 million voters in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia, where outcomes were determined by fewer than 45,000 votes.
- Enough handwritten letters lined up in a row to span from Seattle to Miami.
