In just two weeks it will be official: I will be sworn in as the next Representative from IL03. I couldn’t be more excited and ready to get to Washington to fight for the hard-working District that got me here.
But here’s the thing: whether on an issue like Medicare for All or raising the minimum wage, corporate interest groups are not always going to like where I stand. They want someone in Congress to do their bidding, not someone who stands up for everyday people.
You can be sure they’ll do their best to oppose me in 2022-- that’s why I need your help to start my term strong.
We need to show the country that a grassroots campaign like ours can hold its own against powerful lobbyists and corporate PACs.
