Dear John,
Last week I was proud to be sworn in as West Hollywood City Council's newest member after winning a hard fought, people-powered election campaign that ousted the incumbents and gave me the honor of becoming the first Iranian American, first LGBTQ Iranian, and first woman of color ever to be elected to the Council.
But this win couldn't have happened without the amazing people who rallied around me: my family, my team, and of course, all of the dedicated NIAC Action supporters and volunteers who dedicated countless hours and resources to helping me cross the finish line. In fact, it was NIAC Action that recruited an astounding number of volunteers for my campaign, helped drive out the youth vote by contacting every eligible voter between 18 and 30, and made 1,679 get out the vote calls in the last few months.
