Sanctuaries Supported!

Better Lives Because of YOU!

Can you imagine caring for hundreds of animals who have been released from research and testing labs where they have suffered so much? Now imagine doing that during a pandemic.

This year has been a difficult one for most of us, and sanctuaries caring for these animals are no exception. But thanks to the generosity of our supporters, AAVS is thrilled to announce that it has awarded over $330,000 in grants to help sanctuaries caring for animals who have been released from laboratories. This financial support would not be possible without you!

AAVS is absolutely committed to supporting sanctuaries that care for animals victimized in research laboratories. We’ve been doing it for over 40 years!

Animals who are released from laboratories need special care and considerable help to adjust and thrive in their new environment. Your thoughtful gift helps pay for critical resources and services, including: food, shelter, supplies, veterinary care, utilities, facility maintenance, and repairs, as well as the dedicated staff who care for hundreds of animals in multiple sanctuary locations.

Great News! Once again, we surpassed our goal to raise $50,000 for our Build It! Campaign, which this year benefits the chimpanzees at the Wildlife Waystation, who are in desperate need of new sanctuary homes.

After such a difficult year, it’s never been more important to support sanctuaries caring for animals retired from research and to help ensure that these animals continue to receive the enrichment, safety, peace, and love they need and so deserve.

Thank you for ensuring a happy holiday season for the animals!
