Dear Supporter,

This year has been tumultuous and unpredictable. COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on so many communities throughout the world, especially in East and Central Africa, where systemic greed and corruption have crippled government and healthcare support systems. In this current environment, The Sentry's work investigating, exposing, and creating consequences for unchecked greed is more essential than ever before.

We have worked hard this past year to create accountability for those benefiting from chaos and violence, and we can see that the status quo is now changing.

The Sentry has had a real impact. We have succeeded in working with governments and global banks to create real financial consequences for many of the actors responsible for perpetuating and profiting from massive human rights crimes.

*The result? Major wars have ended in South Sudan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and a return to mass violence has been prevented, for now.*

Our work is really just beginning, and we need additional support to continue to cut off the illicit financial flows that drive violence, atrocity, and war. Please join our effort and give a gift today.

*From now until the end of the year, your gift will be doubled. A group of extremely generous donors has agreed to match every donation so that we can continue to support positive outcomes across East and Central Africa. [ [link removed] ]* [ [link removed] ]

We are grateful for your support, and together we can continue to fight to end conflict and repression throughout East and Central Africa.

Sincerely,

Brad Brooks-Rubin,
Managing Director
