Advent 2020

Dear friend,

Warm greetings in the name of the Lord. Our dispersed staff — in suburban D.C., New Jersey, northern California, Milwaukee, Birmingham, and Dallas — send our best wishes to you, and our thanks for the honor of serving you through the printed word and enacted encouragement of the Living Church.

The ministry of TLC remains focused on the health and welfare of the whole Church, in service of deeper obedience and faithfulness. Our vision, simply put, is for the unity and healing of the Body of Christ: that we may be gathered into one visible assembly to the glory of God.

The board and foundation of the Living Church recently adopted Strategic Plan 2020 ([link removed]) , which charts an exciting course for the next five years. The plan sets forth afresh our mission and vision, organized around five strategic priorities:

(1) expanding our global reach as a publisher and as a movement;
(2) expanding our teaching resources;
(3) strengthening parish ministry;
(4) sustaining a collaborative team; and
(5) growing our financial resources.

And it describes the inspiring history of our work and the particular growth of the last decade — incorporating our award-winning weblog Covenant, our new preaching resource The Living Word, as well as burgeoning teaching materials, conferences, The Living Church Podcast, and much more.

In order to sustain this work, we need your generous support ([link removed]) . While TLC’s financial position is better than we have seen in more than 15 years, we remain cautious amid the ongoing pandemic and recognize the need to increase reserves and grow our endowment. We can do everything described in Strategic Plan 2020, but only with your support.

Won’t you please help us continue to move forward ([link removed]) with confidence and hope for the future? We need your financial support as well as your prayers, for the Lord’s strong hand on our work, as we carry our plans to completion, by God’s grace.
