Parents have had enough and are pulling their kids from government-run public schools.
Hi Friend,
Across the country, parents are making their dissatisfaction with public education known. Parents are pulling their children from government-run public schools.
In Fairfax County, VA—one of the top public school systems in the country—more than 8,700 parents have withdrawn their kids from the public schools. In Chicago, where the teachers union recently said opening schools was racist, nearly 14,500 students have left the public schools.
Similar declines are happening in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Charlotte. And in Arizona, declines in public school enrollment range from 5 to 12%—a record setting loss.
After watching my children struggle and lose ground with virtual learning in the spring of 2020, my local school superintendent—who actually sends his own child to an open private school—announced that the public schools would remain closed in the fall of 2020 (the schools remain closed).
That was enough for me. I pulled my children out immediately—enrolling one in a private school and choosing to homeschool the other. It has been an exciting and, at times, challenging transition. Yet, my children are thriving and growing—and are emotionally and educationally on a much better path.
I’m lucky. I was able to make that choice for my children. Yet for a significant number of parents, there is no choice.
Due to financial constraints, many Americans are trapped in the broken public school system—a system that’s propped up by unfeeling liberal politicians and their ruthless allies that run the teachers unions.
Join us in calling for accountability and transparency in our school systems… and save our nation’s school-aged children before it’s too late.
