This pandemic has shown us that we will do everything in our power to aid survivors.
Dear Friend,
As we reflect on on the past year, we are reminded of the strength and power of community. We have been surrounded by support during these challenging times, and we thank you for being our partners.
This year, we were forced to adapt and reimagine the way that we live, the way we work, and the way we serve survivors and our community. For the first time in our history, we started providing emergency housing by partnering with the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles in Project Safe Haven, safely housing domestic violence survivors in hotels and providing groceries, case management and wraparound services; we transitioned our clinical counseling and support groups, remaining proactive and creative in cultivating online healing spaces; we ran a virtual Denim Day, training and educating on new platforms with Denim Day NYC; we adapted our Youth Over Violence Leadership Institute to reach local and national participants online, training and graduating more teen leaders than ever before; and we launched our move into new headquarters with our Brave Space campaign.
We will continue to reimagine, innovate and remain POV strong. For almost 50 years, we have been providing life-saving and life-sustaining services across Los Angeles and beyond. We’ll go to any length for survivors. Can you help?
Sustain our services with your year-end gift.
Together, we are more.
